Youngji Seo, Ph.D.
Youngji Seo (Ph.D., University of Georgia) is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Journalism, Public Relations and New Media. Seo's primary research interest lies at the intersection of health communication, message effects, new media technology with online experiment and eye-tracking methodology. She is particularly interested in understanding the factors that lead to unintended effects of health and risk communication and how communications could be designed to mitigate such unintended effects and promote desirable consequences for organizations and public. Her research has been published in journals such as Journal of Health Communication, Journal of Business Strategy, and International Journal of Advertising.

Alec Tefertiller, Ph.D.
Alec Tefertiller (Ph.D., University of Oregon) is an Associate Professor in the Department of Journalism, Public Relations and New Media. His research examines the intersection of audience motivations and new media technology, including streaming media and social media. He is interested in the intersection between digital media use and well-being. His research has been published in journals including the Journal of Broadcasting and Electronic Media, Mass Communication and Society, Telematics and Informatics, and the Atlantic Journal of Communication.

Tamara J. Welter, Ph.D.
Tamara Welter (Ph.D., Biola University) is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Journalism, Public Relations and New Media at Baylor University. Her research examines how audiences interpret meaning in visual media, with particular attention to the role of culture in shaping that understanding. She is especially interested in visual representation, cross-cultural communication, and the role of empathy in journalism and media. Her academic work has been published in outlets including the International Communication Research Journal, the Southwestern Mass Communication Journal, College Media Review, and the Journal of the American Studies Association of Texas.
