Baylor Journalism, Public Relations and New Media is in the top 5 percent of programs nationwide, as our ACEJMC accreditation proves. In our department, you'll use the most up-to-date technology and the latest editing and design software to hone your skills and work alongside faculty practitioners and scholars.
Our faculty offer expertise in each area of the field and a passion for diverse research in areas such as ethics, media relations, minorities, media and religion, social media, public relations, journalism history, media and politics, media and civil society, documentary methods and media effects.
Classes average 15 students, and all courses are taught by professors not graduate students.
We mentor our students and offer them a place to grow as journalists and in their faith by pursuing challenging topics.

Mission
The Baylor Journalism, Public Relations & New Media program aims to educate students to become critical storytellers who can communicate precise and truthful information and ideas across media platforms, enabling them to secure jobs and act as responsible adults in an increasingly diverse society.
Vision
Our department aims to offer theory-based, professionally current instruction in various storytelling styles, emphasizing solid writing and technical skills, to students majoring in all five of our concentrations.
