Baylor Journalism, Public Relations and New Media is in the top 5 percent of programs nationwide, as our ACEJMC accreditation proves. In our department, you'll use the most up-to-date technology and the latest editing and design software to hone your skills and work alongside faculty practitioners and scholars.
Our faculty offer expertise in each area of the field and a passion for diverse research in areas such as ethics, media relations, minorities, media and religion, social media, public relations, journalism history, media and politics, media and civil society, documentary methods and media effects.
Classes average 15 students, and all courses are taught by professors not graduate students.
We mentor our students and offer them a place to grow as journalists and in their faith by pursuing challenging topics.

Mission
The mission of Baylor Journalism, Public Relations & New Media is to educate students to communicate accurate and truthful information and ideas that enable them to fulfill their responsibilities as citizens in a diverse, democratic society; to protect their rights and interests as individuals; and advocate for the rights of others.
Vision
Our vision is to continue to offer theory-based, professionally current instruction in various styles of reporting and writing, including public relations, international communication, broadcasting, photojournalism, online media and advertising.
