Advising/Mentoring
College of Arts & Sciences Advising (CASA)
Freshmen, sophomores and juniors (students with 0 through 89 earned hours) must be advised by the College of Arts & Sciences through its College of Arts & Sciences Advising (CASA) office. Advising in JPR&NM Department or meeting with a department advisor is optional/not required, but it is encouraged for Freshmen and Seniors.
CASA endeavors to collaborate and support departments and their academic programs. To this end, the department chair and/or the undergraduate program director meet regularly with CASA advisers to ensure they are current in the major courses, internships, etc.
All CASA services are available during regular office hours: 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. If you have general questions before your scheduled advising appointment, please feel free to email your assigned CASA adviser:
