Research
Our award-winning, tenure-track faculty in the Department of Journalism, Public Relations and New Media regularly present research at academic conferences all over the world, release books with prominent presses, and publish studies in top academic journals in the fields of journalism, mass communication, media, advertising, and public relations.
The department is home to the M3 Lab, a cutting-edge digital laboratory devoted to the physiometric measurement of media exposure, powered by iMotions software.
In addition, Professor Emeritus Robert Darden's Black Gospel Music Preservation Program is still active as a part of the Black Gospel Archive in Moody Library.
