Background
Stephen Green graduated from Baylor University in 2011 with a BA in film and digital media and a minor in photojournalism. During his undergraduate career, he photographed a variety of events as part of Baylor’s Lariat and Roundup staffs while also contributing photographs for the Waco Tribune-Herald and other publications. Since graduation, he has consistently worked under Stephen Green Media as a freelance photographer, videographer, and filmmaker on a number of productions across the state.
His career as an educator began teaching Audio Video Production and Photography at College Station High School and Blinn College while earning a Master of Education in curriculum and instruction from Sam Houston State University. During this time, Green launched a nationally award-winning program, founded an annual competitive festival for young filmmakers, and served as an advisor on multiple state and national champion teams in A/V and photography contests. His program’s focus on combining high-quality photographs, engaging video, and compelling storytelling built large followings across multiple social media platforms. In addition to mentoring his students, he served as the president of the Texas Audio Visual Arts and Communications Association, providing professional development conferences for secondary teachers across Texas. His mentorship of other teachers as well as his students continues to forge many young filmmakers, photographers, and digital media producers while also evolving his own well-rounded teaching and media production skill sets.
