- Journalism BA '22, Corporate Communication BA '22 and Sport Management MA '23
Moorea Long graduated from Baylor University in 2022 with degrees in Journalism and Corporate Communication, and received her Master of Sport Management in 2023. While Long was a Baylor student, she competed as a collegiate athlete for Baylor Track and Field. She now works as for the Kansas City Chiefs as a Premium Fan Experience Representative.
"I’m from the Kansas City area and knew I wanted to work in sports, so I had my sights set on working for the Chiefs," Long said. "When I was looking for my first post-grad job, I found the posting online for the Fan Experience Seasonal Representative. I also connected with some people within the organization and tried to learn as much as I could to set myself up for success. I applied for the seasonal position, then got hired full-time two weeks before Super Bowl LVIII – which was an extra incredible time to be on staff!"
Long's experience at Baylor allowed her to merge her love for professional communication and sports, and she's never looked back.
"I would love to express gratitude to all of the people at Baylor that have helped me get to this point in life. From my professors in my journalism, communication, and sport management classes to all the individuals within the athletic department that consistently provided support, encouragement, and lessons, I will truly never be able to pay them back for all they have done for me," she said. "Now that I’m out of college and in the 'real world,' it’s even more evident what a special place Baylor really is. I’m grateful God brought me there and so thankful for the JPR&NM and Track and Field programs, and for all I was able to learn through my time at Baylor. Baylor will forever hold such a special place in my heart and I wouldn’t trade my time there for the world!"
