Andrew B Church

Andrew B Church is a filmmaker, photojournalist, and U.S. Navy Veteran based in Columbia, Missouri. His work spans documentary film, photography, education, institutional communications, and commercial production.

After serving as a Navy Mass Communication Specialist, Church earned his M.A. in journalism at Baylor University in 2018. His graduate project, Tiny Texas, explored stories about people and their communities and later evolved into YOURstory Docs. He also holds a B.A. from the University of Missouri, earned in 2009.

Church is directing and producing Finding Harding: Lost at Shore, a feature documentary that begins with the search for a former Navy shipmate and expands into questions of identity, purpose, structure, and belonging after military service. The film is currently in production and is fiscally sponsored by the International Documentary Association.

His background in photojournalism continues to guide an approach built on listening, close observation, and giving people room to represent themselves. Across film and photography, he is interested in how individual experiences help people understand one another.
